The Twilight Saga has certainly been a bit of a hit and miss when it comes to movie franchises; some people love it (a bit obsessively), some people hate, and some people just couldn't give two s**ts. It kicked off a huge vampire frenzy, that took over the world and has now spawned countless TV shows, films, and books; all of which basically follow the same premise.

Kristen Stewart, Mackenzie Foy,
Robert Pattinson & Taylor Lautner

Here the giant money-maker that is twilight is drawing to a close, and to say its about time is an understatement. I'll admit, the first film was annoyingly good, and hooked me instantly, but each entry in the series has gotten worse, and Breaking Dawn - Part 2 is no different. The whole film is building up to this epic battle between The Cullens and the Volturi...all over some red headed love child that our two stars, Bella and Edward (Stewart & Pattinson) created after some disappointing sex. Unfortunately the battle (caused by the spoilt one from Lost and Taken) is pretty anti-climactic, and the series ends just like a disappointing night with Hulk Hogan. There is also something about the werewolf Jacob (Lautner) imprinting on the brat...something I thought sounded a bit perverted. The one redeeming quality of the film was Michael Sheen's performance as Aro; he clearly enjoyed himself and really hams it up as the eccentric villain.

Basically, the series has drawn to a close just in the nick of time, because to be perfectly honest I am little sick of Stewart's one facial expression, Lautner's lack of any real talent, and the bizarre attraction girls have to Pattinson, who (to me) just looks like he is a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

Goodbye Twilight, your work here is done.
